Ourl.in operates solely as an automated technical intermediary conduit. Ourl.in does not pre-screen, verify, curate, or endorse user-submitted destination URLs, nor does Ourl.in control third-party websites or content accessed through short links. Visitors access destination URLs entirely at their own risk.
1. Digital Intermediary Status & Technical Conduit
The services provided by Ourl.in (including our website, developer APIs, and official Google Chrome Extension) function as an automated technical redirection platform under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Ourl.in does not generally pre-screen, endorse, or approve third-party destination content. However, we may use automated and manual security and abuse-prevention measures to detect, investigate, restrict, disable, or remove links that present security risks or violate our policies.
2. Dynamic Destination Risk & Post-Creation Mutation
Destinations May Mutate Over Time:
Short links created on Ourl.in route visitors to third-party domains hosted and controlled by independent external webmasters. A destination URL that appeared benign when shortened may subsequently be altered, redirected, or compromised to deliver malicious, fraudulent, or unlawful content. Ourl.in cannot prevent external webmasters from altering their server endpoints.
3. Proactive Security Scanning Does Not Imply Editorial Responsibility
Ourl.in employs automated threat-intelligence queries, redirect-chain analysis, and heuristic abuse detection to protect internet users and fulfill statutory due-diligence obligations. However:
- Proactive security scanning is performed on a best-effort basis and does not constitute a guarantee of destination safety;
- Automated detection or discretionary takedowns do not constitute editorial control or legal assumption of responsibility over third-party content;
- Ourl.in disclaims any general legal duty to pre-screen, verify, or exhaustively inspect all external third-party destination websites across the internet.
4. Third-Party Domains & Visitor Assumption of Risk
When you click on any link shortened through Ourl.in, you acknowledge that you are being redirected to an external domain governed by its own independent terms of service, privacy practices, and security measures. You assume sole and exclusive responsibility for verifying the safety, reputation, and legitimacy of any destination domain before entering credentials, making payments, or downloading files.
5. Prohibited Activities & Immediate Takedown
Users who generate links are strictly subject to our Acceptable Use & Abuse Prevention Policy. We prohibit links associated with phishing, malware, ransomware, financial fraud, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), impersonation, smishing/spam, or unlawful acts. Discovered violating links are disabled immediately, and associated accounts and identifiers are restricted.
6. Reporting Abuse & Notice-and-Takedown
If you are a brand owner, cybersecurity researcher, copyright holder, or member of the public and have identified a malicious, infringing, or illegal destination link using an Ourl.in domain, please notify us immediately:

- Email: support@ourl.in
We review and act on all verified abuse reports promptly in accordance with statutory requirements.
